PLA, or Polylactic Acid, is derived from renewable resources like corn starch or sugar cane, making it an eco-friendly alternative to petroleum-based plastics. Cellulose, sourced from local forestry residues, adds strength to our cases while also being compostable. And while biodegradable PBAT is not plant-based, it is a highly biodegradable polymer that completely decomposes without leaving any toxic residue. By refining our manufacturing process, we've achieved a softer texture without compromising on quality. Our factory in Sweden runs on solar power when it's sunny and switches to hydroelectricity in the winter, which means it operates with minimal carbon emissions all year round. We also take water conservation seriously. The mobile case factory has this neat closed-loop system that makes sure we're not wasting a drop, cutting down on waste. Since we oversee every step of the production process and experiment with different plant-based materials as well as using biodegradable PBAT, we know for sure that our phone cases break down naturally under the right conditions - and that's through industrial composting. It is a controlled setup that speeds up the breakdown process compared to regular backyard composting, making sure our cases go back to nature without any fuss.
